just saw it today . there were like 10 of us in the theater which was cool . (Blerds mostly...i can dig it!). I've played the original so many time i expected the same thing, only to be totally surprised. I gave a head not to them following the original story just enough then gave us another telling.
Broly was't that one dimensional character with only one thing on his mind...yeah he blew his cork and went off after his father died at the hands of someone else, proving deep down inside he was not as broken as we thought, glitched ,not broken.
He conversated with character, shedding light to how he had been brought up...and let them into his circle! How freaking great was that!!. And this is good. It made you want to like Broly for more than just his ability to smack Goku and Vegeta around.
Oh big ups to Vegeta...he came out swinging fist and a lot of swagger!. Love a short man who can get it done!
Ok back to it.
Goku of course does Goku. Powers up and give it his all. You get to see all phases of their powers separately and combined. The fighting was soo good, minor things could have been done better , but it got it's point across epicly. ( bad music choices)
The ending...yes...thank you.Thank you ...Thank you! Goku extended the olive branch and as usual wants to "train" with him again.
He's no longer alone. Yup Broly made friends. Cheelai didn't hesitate to come to his aid when she saw him being mistreated by his father. And comes to the conclusion Broly isn't the fighter his father wants, or makes him to be.
He's going to be ok with the help of his friends.
