Technically brilliant film. The film deals with a controversial topic: " Relegion". Trance is definitely a bold attempt for its theme, as far as Malayalam cinema is concerned. But it fails to do justice to the theme it explores with its weak script that becomes so confused towards the end. Viju Prasad- Fahad Fasil's character-building is decent. But, once his new avatar is introduced, the film gains speed and the whole show becomes more stylised. It becomes more and more messy, too, as far as storyline is concerned. There is a conscious effort from the director to show that Catholic priests or nuns do not support activities like interfering with medical treatment in the name of religion. Fahad Fasil, Gautham Menon, Chemban Vinod, Dileesh Pothan has shown up a decent performance. Nazriya has finally come out of her cute, cuddly, nazriya type characters. Overall the movie hasn't come upto expectations.. Even though the plot was weak, the film managed it with the stylish making.. DOP, BGM, Music, Sound designing all upto the mark.. However, this isn't a movie like Pineapple Express, Kili Poyi etc etc... By the title " Trance" it isn't a kind of movie we expect.
