So I finished Batllestar Galactica , The expanse , Star trek , Firefly , flashforward , Revolution, Fringe, Breaking bad , Vikings , and GOT , was bored , asked around and everyone said this is your next scifi crush , watched the first half hour and I almost lost my sanity , was pulling my hair and screaming , finished the plot episode and realized my IQ is in the double digits now ! So I cam here to see if anyone else is a nut case like me , glad I saw several reviews with the same observations . bottom line : do not waist your time

the movie couldn't come at a better time ( with all the Britney Spears story unfolding ) . As an author myself , I always find it interesting when the protagonist is not your typical hero with a balanced moral compass. It gives you a sneak peak into what a con artist think of themselves , how they justify their wrongdoings to themselves ( Marla telling herself she is a lioness ). It also leaves you enraged and mad , which was the initial goal of the film. I get it , it 's not an entertaining movie , it's a thought food movie . It meant to get you thinking of all misconducts and loopholes used to pierce through the laws and use them for criminal purposes. My critic is more on the execution. it could've used a little bit of character building . It also relied on simple luck and coincidence , and no balance of power ( a third character , probably a journalist , an AG , or some sort of a persona trying to unravel what's happening could made it better ) . Overall , it was a good film, not very tight plot , very realistic expectations but not realistic execution ( at least one character should've been asking questions )
