I've been disappointed leaving the theatre before, but I've never been angry, until the Green Knight.
I wasn't expecting Lord of the Rings, I was expecting a cohesive, sensible and telling film about honor. What I got instead was a tedious and pointless film that didn't even have any real message. It seemed like the director was trying to do a little of everything, but wasn't very good at anything, and decided to just make everything up as he goes. I refuse to believe someone wrote out what was filmed from start to finish and thought "oh yeah that totally works," because it really, REALLY, did not.
Aside from a few half beautiful shots (We get it, the camera can film upside down) using the same trick over and over, the storyline is somehow both cluttered and completely empty of any useful narrative. Terrible writing, terrible film. Give everybody their money back.
