Excellent performances from the lead characters - certainly worth watching - but did we really learn anything? Well, no not really - at the end of the day it is about ‘The hate U give’ - a message that has been repeated again and again in my lifetime of 70+ years - I guess that we will all live together in harmony sometime but not anytime soon. Back to the film: should feature for awards - definitely.

I really enjoyed the original series, and can hardly wait for the new Das Boot to be released by Sky this coming week - looking forward to posting a follow up review Felt sure that I had posted a follow up but current review has not revealed this - hopefully the following echoes my earlier sentiments: (a) I found the secondary story involving the ‘Resistance’ quite distracting - it’s about the U Boat and should be the dominating story (b) the characters are not as strong or as believable as the original Das Boot However, the theme tune has a real resemblance to the original - so here’s hoping the remaining episodes pick up pace
