This is nothing like H2O/Mako Mermaids. I made the mistake of watching this with my 8 & 5 year old girls because it was PG. The plot and acting were superficial. My kids kept asking why the people were being so dramatic. At the end, the main girl suddenly murdered a dude by magically summoning the water out of his mouth and eye sockets 😱 It was totally Raiders of the Lost Ark! Then, all the little tweenager friend had to say was, "You TOTALLY have to show me that move," and the group of mermaids steps over his puddle and happily trounces off. They just murdered a guy in gurgling agony without hesitation or remorse! This freaked us out a bit. Would not recommend wasting your time or exposing young ones to the graphic violence, backtalk, and lying.
