So disappointed in this series. The storylines are not intriguing at all, very superficial and the acting is so-so. As an avid historian of The Astors, Vanderbilts, Goulds, etc…their true stories are far more compelling.
I will say the costumes are exceptional and the period locations outstanding! But it cannot overcome the rest…feels like the writers did not do their research.

I was dying to get my hands on this book but after reading it, it felt like DG is saving all the plot and intrigue for her final book. Way too little happened! I could not wait to see what would happen between William and Jamie, and then, almost no interaction what so ever until the final page. Sorry Diana! Missed your torrid love travails and amazing character twists and turns-but I will greatly look forward to the next book!
