Sonequa Martin-Green does a pretty good job playing Michael Burnham, maybe a little bit of over acting going on. She gets a B+. The actress is good, but her part has way too much crying, emotionally unstable and is unrealistic.
Michelle Yeoh ... she is awesome. I give her an A+ for the role she plays. It doesn't hurt that I think she's very attractive.
Anson Mount ... could possibly be the best captain ever/protagonist if given the chance to stick around to develop the character. I think he'd make a much better lead than Michael Burnham. Why didn't they bring him back for season 3?
Anthony Rapp ... plays this character great. He gets an A+.
Doug Jones ... I like the character. He makes a good captain but would be better as a first officer. He gets an A-
The rest of the cast is exactly just that ... the rest of the cast. No one stands out, nor are the writers giving much time for character development because every episode seems to revolve around Michael Burnham. Change the name to "Star Trek: Michael Burnham".
RANDOM THOUGHTS:
What's up with the producer's love affair with the color of blue. Blue uniforms, blue sets, etc.
Awesome special effects. Good plots, for the most part.
What's up with dramatically changing the looks of the Klingons without some sort of explanation? I like characters speaking Klingon.
The characters often come out to say how much they care for one another, but as a viewer I am not feeling it. Forcing it down my throat doesn't mean I'm going to eat it.
