Brilliantly made film. Never seen such fine performances, clarity in story telling, splendidly written dialogues, adept editing, mood enhancing music,... EXCELLENCE, EXCELLENCE all the way. The anti hero, Manikantan's performance deserves a National Award, no less. Director Vyas has rewritten the narrative of Tamil cinema. Don't miss it if you are looking for sensible cinema where content is king, yet there's no boring moment.

Mammootty had the courage to choose this character, the conviction to portray it well and the competence to shine through though he remains silent much of the time. And he acts silently just as Jyotika does. The opposite of overacting is what I see from these two powerhouse performers. The screenplay moves slowly yet brings in one twist after another cleverly. The theme of the story being a bold one for Indian movies,the treatment had to be like walking on tight rope. The Director does it with a flair rarely seen

A definitely relevant film for this time and well made. Nana Patekar and Raima Sen stand out with their outstanding performance.

Excellent narration, till the last few minutes, the story keeps you on the edge of the seat.

The essence of the brilliant original Tamil movie, KAIDHI,is retained in this one, so it is really good. The stunt scenes are superbly choreographed.
