It is ok on it's own. But not in line with the rest of star trek, and it is no longer a family show. Maybe has some elements we wish the other treks were? With great graphics and battles where ships actually maneuver instead of sit there and say "damage report", "shields at 65%", "fire phasers" , "direct hit to their port nacelle." Blah blah. This series has gotten "smutty," like federation citizens arent the culturally evolved people we have came to expect....maybe minus Risa. Lol.
