The character development and coinciding story lines that made the book so great are completely ignored in the movie as almost everything except the bureau plan to reset everyone’s memories is non existent in the film. Crucial characters in the book such as Uriah and Cara are nonexistent and the characters of Matthew and Nita are severely underdeveloped. I understand movies have to make alterations to books to fit the story into a reasonable length but if I'm Veronica Roth i would be extremely disappointed in the writing and production of the movie that really takes away from beautiful story she created. For those who haven’t i strongly recommend reading or listening to all the books as all three movies don't do justice to the them which I found as some of the most emotionally moving books i have ever read.
