The Next Karate Kid bridges the Miyagi-Do legacy between old and New. Let's get to the center of this: this movie is NOT about the next Karate Kid. There is NO one replacing Daniel. NO Cobra Kai, and NO All-Valley under 18 tournament. And that's fine. What it is is the continuing story of Nariyoshi Miyagi and his teachings of Miyagi-Do to Julie Pierce in order to quell her anger after losing her parents. I won't go into full detail her for the plot, you can read that on Wikipedia. What I CAN tell you is that while this has only mentions of Daniel (be it indirectly by Miyagi) this is a story to bridge the original Karate Kid Trilogy to the (as of this writing) 5 Seasons of Cobra Kai. It focuses on Miyagi as a person, and how he handles going from one life experience to another. This movie gives us the ability to have character development of Miyagi himself. Furthermore, through the interactions of Julie Pierce with Miyagi, we the audience get to see the relationships of Miyagi that don't pertain to Daniel or Cobra Kai. Which to be honest a breath of fresh air. I recommend this movie for Karate Kid fans because it expands upon the Life of Miyagi as a character. If you're going into this for action akin to the Karate Kid, you'll be disappointed. If you're going into this just to watch a movie and relax for 107 minutes, you're in for a treat. There are no weak performances here. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

FOR MAIDEN FANS ONLY. A slow mediocre decent into prog rock. Senjutsu is anything but "tactics and strategy". Once again, we get great cover art, some decent looking videos, and some excellent Ideas for music, but little to no pay off from Iron Maiden. Not since 2000's Brave New World, with sparse offerings following Dance Of Death; have Iron Maiden even come close to upping the ante musically. Between the second disc even existing consisting of the songs "Darkest Hour", "Death of the Celts", "The Parchment", and "Hell on Earth" which drag the listener into a mire of weak songs that have slow plodding and boring acoustic intros, to the not knowing when to when of songs being no shorter than 7 minutes - Iron Maiden have officially turned into Emerson, Lake and Palmer of Metal for the 2020s. Kevin 'the Caveman' Shirley shows us once again he is a poor man's Martin Birch. The inability to tell Steve and the boys when enough is enough, he fails to do his job. Additionally; the over all lack luster production (which is a Shirley staple) Senjutsu is anything BUT Maiden. Note to Kevin Shirley; Randy Burns did a better job on Peace Sells. (Not a compliment. Paul Lani had to help fix it.) What should be the resurrection of Maiden from the musical grave is instead the final nail in Eddie's coffin. Why? Well.. Judas Priest, Accept, and other bands of the Era have done what Maiden has failed to do; delivered career reviving albums. That being said: Disc one (for all it's problems) has 6 songs which should be the album itself. And oddly enough if you speed some up in tempo on your record player or whatever listening device you have, they actually pass mustard. That is to say; with a bit of fine tuning they could have been on the Book Of Souls or replaced 99% of The Final Frontier. But hey- let's be real; Bruce beat cancer - and his voice isn't doing too bad for a guy who's 63. Now Honestly? This should have been a Steve Harris Solo Album. There's no songwriting contributions from guitarist Dave Murray in any way, and too many by Steve and Bruce. And it shows. Dave Murray has always been a stronger (and frankly better) music writer. Go through the past Iron Maiden albums and I'll bet that 9/10 songs you like; Murray had a hand in them. If you HAVE to have it, get the LP or Special edition. Because like a lot of others, they decided to NOT release as a traditional crystal case cd. Otherwise; don't waste time or money on this.

2021's THE SUICIDE SQUAD - What can I say about this film? Is it better than Suicide Squad (2016)? Yes. Is it better than *cough* Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)? ABSOLUTELY! While not only a soft reboot of the Suicide Squad, but also a follow up to both aforementioned movies [might call this the third in an unofficial trilogy of Harley Quinn], THE SUICIDE SQUAD succeeds where both other movies have failed. It has a better presentation of how events are told and how they unfold. It has a better [and more respectful] presentation of characters and their introductions/ histories than previous installments. Each character is likable. Each Character has something relatable about them. And best of all, each character (even if they didn't get too much time on screen) gets at least one or two shining moments. And... It has a better soundtrack than either of the previous movies. I could go on and on and on about what makes this movie good/bad/ugly or whatever - but I won't. I went into this wanting to hate it. (Because let's be honest; "Superhero" movies - they're not only hit or miss, but they're getting stale.) I didn't hate this. I liked it. I liked it enough to do the smart thing and own a physical copy and take my time to watch it. The story was interesting, the characters all had something I liked about them- Be it Bloodsport's relatable fear of rats, Polka dot man's 'mommy issues' or even Harley's 'no kids' policy when it comes to kiling. I think there really is too much to like in this movie. and there are too many characters to like as well. If you are a DCEU fan, or a comic book movie fan in general; you'll like this movie. If you are an Action movie fan, You'll like this. If you're a Harley Quinn fan, you'll like this. If you just want something to watch after a hard days work and get some laughs, see some action, and not take too seriously, you'll like this. So do yourself a favor; give this movie a chance. Don't listen to the critics on any internet website. They don't know Jack. You Know Jack. I hope you enjoy this movie as much as I did.

WITH THE "DEATH" OF DRACULA, THE DESTRUCTION OF HIS ARMY AND THE SCATTERING OF HIS GENERALS AND DEVIL FORGEMASTERS (NAMELY CARMILLA, HECTOR AND ISAAC) SEASON 3 BRINGS IN THE NEW ADVERSARIES OF THE PROS: THE VOICE CAST OF Richard Armitage as Trevor Belmont James Callis as Adrian "Alucard" Tepes, Alejandra Reynoso as Sypha Belnades, Adetokumboh M'Cormack as Issac, Jaime Murray as Carmilla, ARE PERFECTION. WITH THE ADDITIONAL VOICES IN SEASON 3; Jessica Brown Findlay as Lenore, Yasmine Al Massri as Morana, Ivana Milicevic as Striga, Bill Nighy as Saint Germain Navid Negahban as Sala Jason Isaacs as The Judge, leader of the village of Lindenfeld Toru Uchikado as Taka Rila Fukushima as Sumi ARE A WONDERFUL EDITION TO THE CAST. AS ALWAYS; EXCELLENT MUSIC. THE CHARACTER ART BACKGROUND AND LANDSCAPES (DESPITE SOME GRAPHIC HICCUPS) ARE STILL STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL. THIS SEASON, WHILE GIVING LESS ACTION AS OPPOSED TO THE INTIAL TWO SEASONS, DOES SOME MUCH NEEDED WORLD AND CHARACTER BUILDING. THIS IS DONE BY SPECIFICALLY TACKLING ALUCARD AND HIS SEPERATION FROM TREVOR AND SYPHA (WHO CONTINUE TO GROW CLOSER TOGETHER). AS WELL AS GIVE SOME MUCH NEEDED ATTENTION TO ISAAC, HECTOR AND CARMILLA. ADDITIONAL POSITIVES; THE DECENTLY BALANCED STORY TELLING OF DEVIL FORGEMASTER ISAAC AS HE SEARCHES FOR CARMILLA; OF CARMILLA AND HER SISTERS, ALUCARD'S INTERACTION WITH NEW FRIENDS; HECTOR'S RELATIONSHIP WITH LENORE, AND THE CONTINUING ROMANCE AND ADVENTURES OF TREVOR AND SYPHA. NO SPOILERS HERE EXCEPT THAT EPISODE 9 IS DEFINITELY NOT FOR THE KIDS. (BUT AGAIN; THIS SHOW ISN'T FOR KIDS GET OVER IT) THE NEGATIVES? WELL: ONLY ONE. IT NEEDS A BIT OF PACE TUNING. WHILE THE AFOREMENTIONED IS INDEED A POSITIVE,M IT DOES SEEM TO GO A TAD SLOW. 4 1/2 OUT OF 5 STARS. WE'RE ALMOST TO PERFECTION. AND AS I HAVE STATED; IT'S A HOME RUN FOR NETFLIX. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR HORROR FANTASY FANS, CASTLEVANIA FANS, ANIME FANS AND FANS OF THE VAMPIRE GENRE.

Boring and predictable, the original trailer for the movie was a Supercut of the entire movie and explains everything. If this would have went more the Invasion of the Body Snatchers route as opposed to a Who Is Julia? with ham-fisted racial undertones written by Jordan Peele, it could have been good. His next few movies have practically repeated this. [Us (2019 film), had a superior idea/concept; yet it fell flat as well. Which is a shame.] The only thing you can take away from this movie is that some of the acting was on par with a real movie. Bradley Whitford, Catherine Keener, And Caleb Landry Jones are essentially all the standouts in this movie aside from Stephen Root. This isn't to say that there wasn't a good idea- but when you have things like: - Andre not being recognized by Chris [since it shows that Chris, Andre and Rod are all friends]. - Unnecessary times in the movie where they use jump-scares - And Rose essentially not aging properly since it would take time to repeat the process so many times in a year with so many victims... well there you go. I really wanted to like this movie but it didn't give me a chance.
