Truly fantastic! I didn’t expect to like it, the awkward tension and the slow pace kept me at a knife’s edge to when I would give up and turn it off. I never did. As the story unfolded and the tension grew, I was sucked in to the subtle shift of the power dynamic in this beautifully written and directed story. A bitter man keeping everyone on eggshells around him with his toxic masculinity and the story of a young man who seems incredibly vulnerable until revealing disturbing behavior and a mother on the downward slide he’ll save at all costs. It also brings the awareness of the aftermath of grooming and abuse and not being able to outgrow and overcome the trauma of an idolized abuser. Great performances all the way around.

Surprised to come across this gem. The international cast was brilliant. Beautifully written dive into what grief and humanity look like against wealth and decadence.

Easily one of my favorite movies. I’ve watched it multiple times and the script, casting, acting and location are all fantastic. I’m grateful more attention is being brought to the the topic of this based on actual events story. Like another reviewer pointed out, “Did you not see it?” in the stand off is chilling and a perfectly crafted third act scene.

This film was made me for me. Loved it. As a writer and filmmaker myself, I loved the production and cinematography and 1/3rd into the movie I knew I’d watch it again. Stellar cast.
