Another bust for M. Knight. Shyamalan. I wanted to like this but it just didn't click. Josh's character gave off red flags immediately and the only way he slipped through was cause the characters around him seemed ridiculously clueless and naive. So many of the scenarios seemed too unbelievable, didn't make sense why it happened, or people were brushing off his very suspicious actions and body language. It drove me nuts. At times Josh Hartnett came off so creepy and I think that would have been clearly felt by those around him. I did enjoy watching Josh in this role but there were too many moves made that I don't think a "seasoned" serial killer, as they allude to, would make. The whole story felt like an after thought written around the talent resume of his daughter (the singer). I could respect that I guess if it was done better.
