The people writing it thousands years ago did not even now the world was round. Believing in biblical prophecies is ridiculous. Like all cryptic mumbojumbo it can be twisted and interpreted to mean anything because it does not mean anything. No, this is NOT a Christian nation. The founding fathers and writers of the constitution deliberately separated church and state. The religious wars of Europe had taught them how dangerous to human life, dignity and freedom theocratic states were. The Bible is a powerful philosophical tool full of metaphor to guide daily life filled with love and acceptance of our fellow beings but deadly and oppressive if used to find literal reality and inform crazy prejudice.
