The main character Stargirl is proved disobedient entitled. All they do is disrespect Pat. What were they thinking when they wrote these characters

Boring, drawn out, and unlikable characters

I don't enjoy movies that give a feeling of desolation and frankly pointlessness. The acting was good but I would love to know who these characters were based off of since I find them so abrasive. Overall unsatisfying and most definitely boring
