I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because of the potential that it could have gotten. I love Marvel and their characters and how they are developed whether it was done by Disney, Sony, or Fox. What I saw here was an attempt that did not work how it could have. The story was breaking and choppy (not because of her visions but it was due to the directing and editing of the movie). The main villain wasn't developed at all. we knew nothing about him other than his acting was forced and almost every line he had sounded almost like he was just reading from a script. If he was trying to sound menacing and serious, it had the exact opposite effect. Dakota's acting wasn't much better. It seemed like she was overacting also and it did not come off as genuine. I wished they could have worked more on the characters then they did or just make it pure action with some comedy involved but this version tried to do both and it only seemed to frustrate in the process. There was no real mystery with the movie and everything was easily telescoped for a future scene. Predictable and Cheesy. I am ok with others giving great ratings and others not because it is their opinion on how they perceive the movie. Most likely, they will do a remake of this 10-15 years down the road since Hollywood seems to recycle movies and hopefully they do a better job for Marvel movie.
