MAN, this movie is a MESS!! (NO SPOILERS) First and foremost, let me say that I LOVE Batman, and will watch almost anything related to him, other than his Justice League stuff. I grew up loving both the Burton & Schumacher films, as well as reruns of the Adam West Batman series on YTV as I'm a child of the 90's. You can say that he's a very BIG part of my life. Now for this newest iteration, The Batman. I want to say this first; I LOVE the first half of this movie!! It's as perfectly directed and well-paced as I imagined!! The problem with the 2nd act is that there are too many characters, too much going on at once and the director trying to accomplish too much at once. That 3 hour runtime was not nearly enough time to fully flesh out this story to make it make any sort of sense. Also The Riddler (The MAIN villain) is barely in it, and disappears completely during the 2nd act. He was one of the things I was excited for the most, and his scenes were superb!! But he was severely underused in favor of a confusing, unfocused narrative. I will say that Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Colin Farrell and everyone else involved brought their A-game to this movie, and almost manage to save it from total disaster. I don't blame them for my underwhelming experience with this movie. I blame Matt Reeves and co-writer Peter Craig (ESPECIALLY him!!) for the all over-the-place pacing and direction. Had this film been better thought out, then it could've been legendary, but in my humble opinion, it's not and will never be. All in all, this movie's a spectacularly average film. Didn't hate it, but also didn't love it. Nolan's films are still far, FAR superior to whatever the heck this was.

Another HUGE 2022 disappointment!! (The other being Matt Reeves' overrated, overhyped The Batman) Dominion suffers from what most modern day movies suffer from: Bloated cast, sloppy narrative, weak script and awful direction!! After that awesome cliffhanger ending of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (which is a movie I also love!!) all we get for that HUGE franchise potential is a basic kidnapping plot and a bug movie. Yes, BUGS. I come to a dinosaur movie to see the dinosaurs, not a lame Taken-wannabe crossed with a sci-fi channel plot line about BUGS!!. This is a Jurassic Park movie, which is a name that still means something!! The first was beyond revolutionary when it opened in 93'!! Heck, I even love most of the sequels!! (Just not JP3 or JW3!!) This is NOT the way to do a sequel to such a phenomenal property!! There even felt like there were crucial scenes missing, with important story elements and character background. What we ended up getting was a dumbed down version of a potentially awesome conclusion, which Trevorrow clumsily edited with a freaking chainsaw. This is the WORST of the both properties, even surpassing JP3. While JP3 wasn't good at all, at least it remembered what it was; a simple dinosaur movie, not about 5 different plotlines going on at once!! And I actually finished JP3 more than once. I couldn't even finish Dominion, and I SAW IT FOR FREE!!! You really messed up royally with this once proud property, Universal!! I will now be extremely hesitant to see any future films in this franchise!!

This is a terrific, loving tribute to classic Hollywood at the end of a special era!! Tarantino pays homage to many different goings ons during the 60's era in a vastly different time and place in a completely different Hollywood. Expertly written, brilliantly acted with a ton of humor and some violence to boot, this movie deserves to be seen on the big screen!! (Preferably with a large, hyped up crowd!!) Another winner!!
