This isn't the best Godzilla, far from it, but it introduced me to the possibility giant monsters as a child and I believe made it possible for the modern American monsterverse to exist today.

This movie in theaters was an experience. The black and white version was amazing and added a depth to the movie I haven't felt in a long time. On that note it's hard to remember any movie in recent memory that drew me in that much. The monsterverse Godzilla movies are amazing, but this was just brilliant.
