UPDATED with expansions: I gave in....and the game is amazing. I hate epic and it should have a disc version but its still amazing and we need to protect remedy as they make the best games in an industry dying from a lack of creativity or consumer care. Remedy care. Original REVIEW: So alan wake 2 is very similar to 2012 alan wake American nightmare in that theyre both digital only on console. The latter is as anti consumer as you can get in 2023 when most ps5 owners paid hundreds extra for a disc drive which remedy have seen fit to make obsolete. The lie is it will save is money but the game is epic exclusive and 70.00! So no saving at all and all our data goes to who knows where. The game itself is ok but there is alot of walking and some iffy writing and story. It's not as good as control....or alan wake 1. But it is better than AW american nightmare. Overall hard pass until the ps5 physical disc comes out.

It's fine. It's fine if you're a little kid. It's not fine if you're an adult bioware fan who remembers Dragon age and mass effect. And if youre a baulders gate fan it's really not fine. Which is a shame as this is a pretty game that runs well with good music. The problems are with the story and the acting and the voice work and the simplistic ganeplace where puzzles are simply press this button , walk 3 meters and you're done. The combat is fine...good at times but also very basic and lacking depth or skill. And though the graphics are excellent the art style is weird...like a pixar cartoon or something. Very Not DA so again fine for small kids. The problematic story / script seems to stem from a genuine effort to make the game inoffensive and to appeal to everyone everywhere all at once. The problem with that is you often please no one , no where all at the same time. And the supporting voice work is simply weak at times though I guess with this script it's hard to emote. I don't like the word woke and if anyone is woke it's me but when I play a game I want to escape. Politics are good in a game like this but real politics...not cosplaying life or death. With low stakes and little consequences the game lacks bite. I loved all the DA games and played them all. I played the first two 3 times! But this is not that bioware. These devs are talented and the game is mostly be free with no loot boxes or micro transactions but it still feels corporate. It feels ai made at times. No longer hand crafted. This game is fine on sale or free. Not worth over 30£€$ at this time and maybe just skip if you're a big fan.

Really good. Much better than I expected. Nick Stahl has a troubled past as a person but as an actor he never lets you down. Be careful what you wish for is excellent, though it has a quiet ending hence the 4 stars. Overall I really enjoyed it. Not for everyone , not for the squimish or maybe even the foodies but if you like the silence of the lamb sequel Hanibal or the older film Parents you'll love this. Dark, gory though not violent. Often funny and tense with a satifying if not some what bleak pay off. Lovely tropical locations, great characters and a little mystery feels like a holiday or an R rated version of the white lotus. Check it out if you have the stomach for it...

Excellent. Genuinely good. Better than it has by right to be. So weird but in a good way. Isla Fisher and Josh gad are great but ariel Donohue is the stand out of the cast. Such a well written and directed series with often excellent to good special effects. It's never boring. The series is very funny, a little violent but mostly just great fun. I strongly recommend this to anyone who like a off the wall dramedy or wolves or awesome puppets. I hope we get a season 3... please.

If it's free on plus it's 5 stars. 4 stars of you bought it. Excellent remake and it is an actual remake vs the endless lazy remasters we constantly see. It has some of the best graphics of this generation and arguably the best sound. Though music isn't anything to mention beyond its not a problem. The gameplay is good though you can often get stuck in a corner with your rectile failing to connect there is the melee attacks though that's little more than a double lariat flail. There is some back tracking which could have been avoided but it's expected in an older game design. Much has been improved. It's a long enough game for horror with An average story and serviceable writing and dialogue. Voice acting is very good. This remake explains the game in interesting ways and makes zero g very cool. I found the game a little easy only dying once on medium. But it was also less scary as a result. On hard upwards the true terror kicks in. It's not as scary as it was back in the day due improved lighting and difficulty. Also giving the lead Isaac a face and chatty voice is...ok but again takes away from the fear. Some new monsters would have been appreciated and some new npcs but it's a remake not a sequel. I just want to mention the calistro protocol as it's the same creator and almost identical in many ways. But in other ways that failed much maligned game is superior to this. Combat after the patches is better in CP. Some of the dlc horror elements are more creative. The graphics are often better. And the gameplay more fun at times. CP is worth your time if you like DSR. But overall DSR is a far more polished game with way more consistency throughout. Overall it's excellent and if EA hadn't totally failed in the release and pricing it could have been a big hit like resident evil. If you like dead space this is a no brainer. And if you like horror sci-fi games again buy it. If you hate quality adult games with awesome graphics which runs well...avoid like the plague. 8.5/10 B+

amazing....pls ask netflix to pickup and renew

Don't believe the haters this is a excellent game. If you liked mutant year zero you'll love this. This is a bigger game than you imagine with amazing graphics and sound and music and a half decent story and script. It runs really well in 4k on pc on a 3080 at 60 fps. It's a very hard game...too hard at times and their are some balancing issues later on. But the atmosphere and world and lore all make for an immersive title. The only down side is the end game story and final boss fight along side inexplicably terrible character design which are a real step down from mutant year zero. The game play is amazing. I cant recommend this enough if you like xcom types of games though it is an imperfect game but a very beautiful one. And if you get stuck don't be afraid to use a trainer ;)

Update: s2 doubles down on the worst elements undermining the progress made in s1. The awful side characters in the office ruin the show. As does the lack of a coherent storyline based in any known reality....Even las Vegas. A real shame as everyone said it's amazing. But its not. It's a decent drama...excellent at times due to the fantastic lead. But it is an unfunny show. Horribly unfunny at times and often a little sexist and unreal. It's not a man hating show but it uses stereotypes of men ..the worse men, men who might not even exist any more and then dumps on them without offering up any decent alternatives. Even the lgbt portrayal is all sex mad and drug addicted. It's all a little predictable, cliche and offensively predictable. When it's not being extremely lazy it's quite good though outside of the two leads almost all the characters are unlikable, unrealistic and paper thin. I watched all of season 1 and it's ok but it could have been great and it's sad shills are claiming it is as it can't get better while hacks lower the comedy bar. Maybe season 2 is better...

If you like aquaman you'll like this. I Did. Not as good as the first one...which I thought was good fun, but it's fine. Amber heard role is a mess and frankly if they didn't know what to do with her character they should have just cut her paid her off. Instead she is marginalised to be a stay at home mum. It's a real shame and I don't think she was happy or treated well and the film suffers as a direct result. Beyond that drama the cgi much like the story is a mixed bag ranging from very good to very poor. Clearly the film had post production issues. Though it is quite funny and the message of forging your enemies is positive. A film like this would benefit immensely from a fan edit as others have. I could see a fan edit making this film far superior. Overall it was fun. Silly but in a knowing way. Ultimately it's a cash grab but so are many sequels. If the dc universe hadnt ended and this film had had more time it could have been something else. As it is...it's fine. 6.5/10 (7 If you love Jason m.;). I'd wait for aquaman on streaming maybe as the big screen didn't add much gravity and only highlighted how poor the effects are. 6/10...or 7.5 for a fan. :)

An easy 9 / 10. Not 10. It's not perfect and if you don't like eve the games a 8/10. Eve is the main selling point. A bayonetta but with less personality but more bounce. The gameplay is consistently excellent and the bonkers story is fine. The graphics are awesome and looks next gen. I had zero glitches so an actual polished game for once. It's a bit like dark souls and devil may cry with very korean pop throughout. The music is a huge part part of the game and again if you don't like it the games maybe a solid 7/10 Lol I played it all in Korean which was best for that Asian feel as it's a Korean dev. I found balance mode gave me a near perfect 60fps which is needed. The cosmetics are everything and all free. This game proves how important skins are and why they should be earned. The devs really nailed this aspect of it though I would have liked atleast 5 Lilly and Adam skins early on for variety. Saying that like eves wonderful costumes so to is the monster design. A mix of bayonetta resident evil and devil may cry and dark souls or the surge. Very cool and there's a mech! All the bosses were fun but some are reused and the end boss is very clever and unique on multiple play throughs. There's also a boss rush mode and new game plus. The bad is the desert wasteland levels are a little boring. The game can be confusing at times and too big yet too small. Most side missions are fetch quests. A lack of npc in the play world. The story is nonsensical but also clever and cool with some neat twists. The controls aren't 100%. The music can be too much at times. Also it's very easy and if you upgrade too quickly you'll ruin all challenge. There are no real characters or development but there is also justification for this which is a cop out but it's all fine. It's just a game and original ideas are rare and should be supported. This game is fun. It's fun in a simple way we've not seen in a while. If you like games and fun and bounce this is the game for you. Can't wait for the sequel. 9/10
