Full disclosure, I’m a Duner and have read the book 3 or 4 times along with the sequels. Movie was ok, a little slow and ponderous, and I felt that Atreides Jr and Sr were pretty wooden, but the movie was visually compelling. Bummed that we didn’t get very far into the story. At this rate we’re going to need a Dune 3 and 4, never mind the 2 that isn’t even scheduled yet. Ok, I just talked myself into 3 stars, not 4.
