Jimmy Kimmel's show is mediocre and a platform for his targeted and racist jokes. In the one week, he has already equated a South Korean group to COVID-19. This then was twisted in a Billboard headline to place the blame on an Asian woman instead of Kimmel himself. His latest joke is just as vile considering yellow peril and equating Asian people to disease has been ongoing in American history and used to 'other' Asian people, and deny them the same rights as others. Mentioning other groups to lead up to the punchline does not excuse Jimmy or make the situation any better. Comparing ANYONE to a virus that has destroyed people's lives is insensitive and cruel. Violence targeting Asians is on the rise due to this pandemic and this kind of sentiment and the writers who approved this kind of messaging is perpetuating this hatred. Racism isn't a joke. This show and its host is a joke.
