How I could describe this movies plot is "Confused" Like, the girl starts off wanting to be normal.. but then complains about her mom wanting to keep their life normal? The twist villain felt rushed, and Ruby is a bit annoying and dislikable. I felt like the movie would've been a tad bit more enjoyable if the plot was around the mermaid girly. That aside, the animation is stunning! The character designs are expressive. And the voice acting is pretty solid. The songs are... Forgettable. TL,DR The movie is turning red but if it didn't know what to do.
