The story seems like it would be great, especially for the newer era of Sonic fans. Yet this RPG feels forced. The controls are anything but intuitive. In the early game there is no explanation of where to go or what to find. The Mario and Luigi RPG series didn’t have any issues with this. The character models are off unless they’re in the hand-drawn cutscenes. The music would be great if the sound wasn’t so tinny. While I’d love to enjoy this game and what it was attempting, I can’t see past the fundamental flaws. I appreciate the story depth it was going for, but too much was against the game from the moment it entered the DS Lite.

Made it 5 stars since it's a free experience for PS5. Can't really argue with free! To best explain how amazing this game is I will firstly need to explain my father. He's over 50, his first console was the original NES and his first modern game was Fortnite. Watching my dad be so enammered with how the Dualsense worked, then to have a little robot pop out of it on screen was hilarious! He, even to this day, chuckles at certain activities you can do in the main hub area. When He first played it he was bragging about how intuitive the PS5 controller is. Even just the platforming made him laugh. It really is a playroom for anyone of all ages! Now, while the game is fantastic; the levels do feel too short. It is a tech-demo in the end, but I do hope that a sequel is on the horizon. There is definitely an audience for platformers on the PS5 and I hope that Sony takes note! I could go on about many other things that are good about this game, but I feel like the other reviews have my back covered. TLDR, this game is ageless and timeless. Very charming, fun for the novice and the seasoned!
