Emma Stone was outstanding but I found it hard to suspend disbelief during the prostitution phase, a couple of the women in the cinema walked out , and I can understand why. Bit of a marmite film. I liked it , it's wonderfully designed and costumed and has steam punk.influences and Willen Defoe is terrific but it's not perfect and I'd hesitate to recommend it because some people might find it nauseating, not because they were prudes but because the lack of consequence for some very risky choices Bella makes does not convince.
