Martin Freeman has always chosen roles which really suit his look and demeanour. I’ve loved him in all his roles so far - that I’ve seen. I struggled with his reincarnation as a hip-thrustin, dirty-shaggin, creepy-sex-snoopin hard nosed cop. And American at that. It’s a hard ask. BUT THEN I SAW THE REST OF THE CAST! Weirdly, Freeman fell into place. And the storyline does roll on nice n quick. I’m hooked.
