The book started out good but then the author to me ventured off course of the book with phrases " like " "And She was like and I was like" I thought the book could have been good if the book were more of a adventure type book with Ian and his dog "Gather" I got into the book til chapter ten then the book didn't continue the right way

I did Not enjoy this book it was way too long and I didn’t like the ending. I do not recommend this book. I checked it out because it got good reviews. To Me, it should have been titled “The Marsh Girl” All it is about is the marsh and loss of relationships and the book focused on loneliness and it dragged on and I was hoping for a better ending spoiler alert! I didn’t like the way Kya was treated but In he end she got by with murder! I just. Want to let people know about the book before you buy it or check it out at the library 📚 I’m glad I didn’t but it way too overrated! One more thing the grammar was hard to understand One of the character “Jumpin” words were hard to understand didn’t make sense
