This movie is mediocre at best and I find it laughable that Rotten Tomatoes gave it a whopping 92%. It started out interesting, and captivated the audience with unsettling and disturbing details like the room with the camera. However, from the beginning It was very obvious that the guy was not the killer, as the movie tried to hard to make him look suspicious. Once the mother was revealed, I did find the murder of the guy scary, but after that, the plot immediately went down. An enormous plot was spun, which eventually led to no ending at all. None of the questions that they had built up were answered, neither answered enough to even be left to imagination. Furthermore, once the mother was fully revealed, she was no longer scary, but hilarious. The hidden visuals of her in the dark towards the beginning were terrifying, but her full reveal was extremely disappointing. Finally, her jumping off of the tower scene was so hilarious and goofy that it just completely ruined the movie for me, turning it into a comedy. I get the deeper meanings with the guy accused of sexual assault, and the mother defending who she saw as her daughter, but the ridiculous visuals towards the end as well as the extreme amount of plot holes makes me wonder how on earth rotten tomatoes gave it such a good rating.
