A lot of changes were made to incorporate woke agendas. Apparently Eric wasn't even born a prince and instead was adopted! They even destroyed the ending, instead of the prince (Eric) saving Ariel and winning her love the weak prince needed saving with the help of Ariel. They can't just create stuff up which deviates from the original story! My daughter had seen the original animated version before, so was asking me so many questions about the differences from it that even I couldn't answer! Hopefully this movie will be forgotten for its poor adaptation with time.
