As a mature guy who grew up with Godzilla and still likes the genre I say this is bloody great, way better than the two lost decades ( 60’s and 70’s ) when franchise was in kiddie land, not perfect by any means but c’mon people, it’s a popcorn movie, not trying to be Gandhi here I would go as far as saying it’s the best Godzilla film as its dark, action packed, monsters beautifully designed, etc.,. Glad to see Kaiju genre resurgence as when done well it’s a fun filled fantasy. If one wants to criticize a kaiju movie I would do that with second Pacific Rim as they went too far in stupid land with that one but first one good I think I will see it again in imax If I would have a complaint the only one I would have is maybe more daytime destruction?
