Who would have thought that in 1975 live TV would come back after 20 years as anything more than a brief exercise of nostalgia. After all, the announcement "this program was pre-recorded" meant no goofs, f-bombs, falls, performers showing up high, and late night shows could be videotaped at 5 pm and everyone have normal dinners and bedtimes. But after 45 years, some great, some awful, nothing can beat the excitement of live TV
