LOVED this version of Persuasion! I laughed through most of the movie because the humor was on point! I love Jane Austin’s novels and have read them all many times. But I almost didn’t watch Persuasion because of the awful reviews. I am so glad I gave it a chance. Contrary to the reviews, Dakota Johnson was an amazing Anne - strong, witty and very likable. Having Anne turn and talk to the audience throughout the movie was brilliant. (Though reviewers complained about this.) If Jane Austen were alive today, I honestly believe that she would be the number one fan of this movie. She would love the humor!
