I agree with some viewers that Miranda and Steve have been dummied down for no apparent reason, and it does AJLT no favor. The confident, opinionated corporate lawyer of the past is now teen-level needy, intellectually inarticulate, and emotionally incoherent. Steve has been reduced to a doddering old man with hearing issues. They're in their 50s, not their 90s! Why?! This depiction is hardly a contemporary celebration of aging. It's an insulting compilation of dated stereotypes.
