Such a great book. This author is so generous in showing all sides of the Vietnam war. What was so impressive was how she put aside her own feelings as a Vietnamese woman, and showed the outrage felt by all the leading characters, including the North Vietnamese, the South Vietnamese, (the common people and those dragged into the military) and the American soldiers and their families. A work of art.
