This movie was amazing! I love godzilla movies because at its core, it is awesome seeing godzilla destory a city, wreak havoc, all that nonsense. But this movie made me rethink all that. I went in excited and left feeling devastated, awed, joyful and sad all at once. It was a masterclass of storytelling with thematic journey and an attachment to real events. I was giddy one moment than ready to sob the next. It was heartbreaking, beautiful, epic, and thought-provoking. And there's still Godzilla! Long-story short: Its Jaws meets Saving Private Ryan meets Jurassic Park.

(No Spoilers in my Review) I love marvel but the movie did not treat the fans with respect, nor did it allow for character growth that I would feel justified some of the actions that took place. The acting was still great but perhaps everyone was too serious for the tone of the movie. It was meant to be a darker movie, but only actors gave that energy while the plot and visuals were suggesting a lighter tone and lighter stakes. The ONLY character that was given the detail and respect deserved was Doctor Strange. Sadly, every other character changed abruptly thus not given enough attention. I rate it so low because from a fan's perspective, it also derailed a lot of expectations and hopes.
