As a huge fan of the franchise for over three decades now, this did what was expected. Ties in fantastically to Fury Road and was great to see influences and references to the video game of the same title. Pacing is insane, character design is executed beautifully and the nihilism experienced in such a world, communicated clearly. A reference in one of the reviews here expresses outrage at the inference of Furiosa being at risk of assault. When society collapses, the immoral will do what they will, which we continue to witness in this modern age eg. the acts of Russian soldiers in the Ukraine. Miller's inclusion of this is neither titillating or salacious, but a genuine reflection of the unpleasant and dark underbelly of mankind; something he has consistently presented from the first film to this day.
