Incredibly fun, but without a reliable internet connection, you would disconnect from online sessions all too often.
10/10 dodgework! Heftily rewarded precision movement and dodging, meaning if you had a good weapon, but were weak in defense, your skill could be the winning factor for each mission!
Kinda wish there was a way to go up or downstairs rather than the wells at the end of a floor, or a corridor connecting to the next area... like how kingdom hearts did it.
(Also, that areas weren't just flat ground, but maybe steep areas forcing you to a new area (maybe even secret bosses or loot boxes)
Would've liked spots at the edge of the map that weren't the black abyss or nothing but sky, but also some other islands that are seen in the world... Would've loved to see a world map, maybe with fog on the outer areas of the map that were yet to be discovered.
Like, maybe a giant lab with poisonous gas under it in a large cavern, equipped with technology and test subjects in giant tubes in one area, where you fight the mad scientist behind the latest evil plot.
Crystals all throughout the cavern chain with the mechanisms to create electricity, which dances hectically throughout the lab--being the source of lighting and power for the secret laboratory.
Or possibly a mound in a clearing of an ancient forest, hiding in it a tavern to help adventurers relax and recuperate--with further investigation through the earth covered building revealing a notorious gang's hideout, filled with kegs of brew, weapons and guns galore, and a giant hall, filled with oil lamps to keep some light in the ragged, well-used commonplace that many a thief entered, enjoyed, and escaped to... as well rivals that would know of it for only a short while--along with the leader of the pickpockets' massive collection of riches and treasure... and his using of a monster behind a throne of gold pieces and expensive knick-knacks to devour them with.
Overall, gameplay was fun and rewarded skill, with different ways to play each and every class with each and every skill.
Shoulder angle / lock-on camera system would've been preferred for single player, but a single shared screen with a somewhat overhead/shoulder angle camera would've solved the issue most people had with the cross for multiplayer.
8.5/10, if re-released would buy for $40 on sight.
