I like the way it narrates...it seems as if my thoughts are appearing in print. I always believed in the power of thoughts.
Amazingly written. A must read.

It is biased fiction and the character of Gauri does not suit an Indian woman. It is depicting more the American culture than Indian. Just 2 years of wedded life based on false identities cannot play on a female's emotions all her life 24×7. Secondly an Indian lady can never walk out leaving a fatherless child.
It should be other way round... Gauri struggling to nurture the child in a foreign country all alone while Shubhash leading a carefree life of his own.
Anyway the way of writing is good. But I find not giving due respect to Indian culture and life style. Too much negativity.

Mr. Iyer could have used better names than "Maida" , "Dalda", Maker funtoosh etc. Also the storyline is more like short essays...does not have a flow...too many speed breakers and grammatical mistakes.
Avoidable...

History made interesting with clear concepts and hypothesis. Some may not go with his flow but I find the book very convincing.
