The last two weeks have been significantly Improved with Gayle King’s absence. No disruptions/over talking colleagues or expert guests except when Oprah’s Book reveal with Isabel Wilkerson was televised. Gayle interrupted Oprah twelve times within three minutes of the taped interview. She dominates with opinions/anecdotal asides and rudeness continuously throughout the broadcast. A vivid time was when Tony was talking about his mother’s retirement after forty years during Talk at the Table. He was visibly emotional about his love for his mother and sacrifices she made for his childhood. In mid sentence Gayle barged in and Tony became silent. Queen Gayle King needs to be called on the carpet to refrain from believing she has top billing. Anthony, Tony,Vlad, Michelle and Jerrika maintain the integrity of what the program should be. Yes, I mute Gayle, turn to Morning Joe and like many friends are considering changing to a competitor station if CBS does nothing.
