Carla Mertins – Google

Just came home from The Joker, and thought it was marvelous. Joaquin Phoenix was outstanding, a great and artful job. I particularly loved his use of facial expression, just look at his eyes and you know what thoughts the character is having. He already ready has the Oscar in my estimation. Lady Gaga did a superb job also. Some people did not like the musical addition, however each song fit into the thoughts and action of the story. Okay it's a little quirky, but quirky is what makes interesting stories.

How can you not love this movie!! Could hardly find people who would not give it 5 starts, I bet. A lot of lessons for humans to learn, be kind, help one another both animals and humans (remembering we are also animals) maybe the world would not be in the turmoil we are today. For sure some ad-in scenes, but it's a movie, but based on reality, just sit down and enjoy your 1.5 hours of the way we should live, loving one another instead of territorial hate.

I definitely think this is a movie to watch and understand. Is this not today? The humans, who have sympathy for each other against the cult of humans who only want to control by killing or being rich? Which side will win? It has easily been an age old problem. It seems the movie is suggesting the intermixing of humans might solve it. I loved it, I hope more people become Watchers and try to respect each other. 5* from me.

I felt the whole message of the film was "diversity". You can love people or animals and grow a real bond with those that are different from you, but here's the switich. You will always be more comfortable and possibly loving with the culture or environment you are part of. It takes a whole heap of patience and understanding to bond with those who are totally different that the way we are brought up.

Acting, music, criminology, excellent. Yes, you have to think about it, put the pieces together. Come on horror people, do we always have to have someone kidnap a woman and then torture. It was about a man who is trying to save someone he loves, and kills the metaphoric monster that he was and and also entrapped her when she died in an automobile accident, called "death" or in other words "nothing". Mentally she is unstable, given her once "dead" experience and also depending upon if you are paranormal or not. So sit back and enjoy the puzzle and wonder in the end, what is in future for our leading actress. I think it was great.
