I watched Where’d You Go, Bernadette a few years back, and it still sticks with me. Cate Blanchett did an amazing job as Bernadette, and her daughter’s character was equally compelling. For me, it was more than just a movie — it was about the journey of self-reflection. Bernadette’s disappearance to find herself and her use of technology to plan her life felt relatable, especially for anyone who’s ever hit a wall in life.
The reviews aren’t great, but I honestly think it’s because some viewers weren’t ready for the introspection this movie demands. If you’re willing to look inward and are open to growth, this movie will resonate deeply. But if you’re expecting something surface-level or “feel-good,” you might miss the point. I’m even considering reading the book now. It’s 2024, and I’m searching for it again — that’s how impactful it was for me.
If you’re ready to internalize and take a hard look at where you can improve, give this movie a shot.
