At first I was quick to jump on the hate band wagon, but having played through every kinda hearts game and watching all the movies like 358/2, recoded, and x back cover i have a new found appreciation towards kh3. the continuation and references are so accurate that it's very impressive to be like "oh wow that's something that was mentioned in the first game" or a subtle little thing in the second game. and playing fragmentary passage after birth by sleep is a wonderful experience. it's a huge emotional roller coaster, and i love the selfie camera thing. I love modern stuff like books, movies, shows, and games because it reaches out to the player/viewer in a way that's very relatable and it has a bigger impact on the sentimental feeling you develop throughout the franchise. Especially if you are born in the early - mid '90s then the disney parts will also add onto the sentimentalness. Although the disney bosses are super gimmicky and the monster inc world has the ugliest sora form ever, i think all the positives out weighs the negatives. However my biggest problem is the unreal engine. I hate games in unreal. It's such a cheap way to cut corners from your own engine for the purpose of better graphics. I understand it was a very executive desicion that the producers themselves had no say in, but that is by far my biggest problem with kh3. That being said, it is a great game, amazing cinematics, and the characters are awesome. 4/5 simply cuz unreal engine prevented the fifth star.
