We gave up on episode two. Unwatchable twaddle.

Harlan Coban has fooled Netflix so many times it is unbelievable. Same old actors, same locations, same plots. Hammy acting especially in this case by the execrable Joanna Lumley. Ideal Actor at least treats it as the comedy it really is and deserves credit at least for that. I would say avoid it unless you are desperately bored and have a bottle of vodka handy. Per episode.

There are many ways this incomprehensible mess of a show could have been improved. The easiest would have been not to make it in the first place. Failing that, if the entire cast and crew had been wiped out in the first 10 minutes the world would have been a better place. If you value your sanity avoid this rubbish like it was ebola.

A career ending performance from Daniel Craig. I mean what the hell was that accent? Not that the other ham actors covered themselves in glory. A ludicruous storyline which didn't quite turn it into a comedy. No point in me continuing. You get the picture.

I watched the first episode. It just does not work on any level. It was like watching charades. No way would I watch any more of this twaddle. I am just speechless it was so bad. Was it a comedy? Was it a kid's show? Was it a mistake? Surely the latter.

Apart from the fact the eponymous character has no redeeming features, it seems that to get a detective crime thriller show on TV these days you have to have at least 4 serial killers on the loose in the same place at the same time. My only hope for the genre is that Netflix will commission a show where everyone is a serial killer and all they do is kill other serial killers and in the final denouement, the boss serial killer is the chief constable of greater boringside police.
