First of all, Nicola Walker is my favorite actress in the UK, and Annika is my favorite show she has done besides Unforgotten. Annika brings a literary sensibility to this show. There is always a book she's reading, a Shakespeare reference, mythology and songs from Norway. Maybe I'm a need. But I love all that. By the way, Shakespeare frequently broke the fourth wall. A great trick if done right, which Nicola does do well. I love Annika.
