Oscar nominated film ‼️many Americans never knew of Bayard Rustin& what he did for the civil rights movement & NAACP etc ! Because he was an openly gay black man this movie is a tribute to all he did for civil rights it opens with Ruby Bridges being guarded by soldiers to school He organized the march on Washington DC around the monument & water ! He promised the local police that there would be zero violence at the rally which no one believed would be peaceful & all liquor stores would be closed on that day !

That was fun-entertaining and interesting. Really nothing vulgar either- reminds me of murder mystery thrillers back in the day. Who doesn’t love a salty vet cop still in a healthy relationship with his amazingly competent and supportive wife? Bring that old fashioned scenario back any time for me. Sure, perhaps too many lost leader suspects and details but that’s the fun of guessing the mystery of it.
