Hanna is basically just the Jason Bourne movies but with a little kid. Hanna is supposed to be Matt Damon, and Cate Blanchett is basically just Chris Cooper, Brian Cox, or any of the big bad government caricatures chasing Jason Bourne. What makes Hanna good though is that while some aspects of it have been done before (like the story or even the action), they aren't done in a way that will make you immediately recognize Jason Bourne. Cate Blanchett for example is as standard a government agent villain you can get, but she plays it in such a cold and confident way that you still enjoy watching her without being distracted too much by how thinly written she or Hanna actually are. What I'm trying to get at is that while the writing isn't great, the technical aspects such as the acting from Blanchett and Saoirse Ronan, as well as Joe Wright's directing, take this Bourne rip-off to the next level. However, if you were to ask me which of the two to watch over the other, I'd suggest Bourne in a heartbeat.

It has its poignant moments, but like the previous two Rocky sequels, it is filled with over-the-top wacky villains, moments derivative of the earlier installments that feel more checklist than natural, and a set-up that could be interesting if it had more depth in it, yet feels a tad shallow when you realize that Rocky is actively neglecting his own son. The best thing that this film has made me realize though is that Talia Shire is definitely the best performer in this entire series.

While I greatly admire Eternals for its ambition and attempt at trying to add a bit of zest to the very repetitive (but still pretty damn cool) Marvel Cinematic Universe, some of the characters (with the most notable exception being Phastos, played by Brian Tyree Henry) are very stock, forgettable, or not focused on enough to leave a big impact. Though its not a great movie, trust me when I say that it is far from being the MCU's worst, as it stills holds some very interesting themes, nice cinematography, and amazing visuals.

Director Ruben Fleischer has made crazy ridiculous good movies like Zombieland and crazy ridiculous bad movies like Venom. Uncharted is definitely one of his crazy ridiculous bad movies, and possibly a bit worse than the others. I have never played any of the games, but judging this strictly as a movie, Uncharted's wacky adventure movie style reminiscent of Pirates of the Caribbean or Indiana Jones falls flat with unsatisfying character decisions, a disengaging and downright laughable quest, and a story that can't figure out what should be focused on and what ultimately gets way too much screen time.
