Definitely a bit underwhelming, to be honest. It wasn't bad by any means, but is definitely far far from the standard set by the (incredibly awesome) first Deadpool film. The second movie felt like a decent installment which, while not as good as the first one, was still quite funny and a sound watch in terms of the story told. Deadpool and Wolverine had plenty of spectacle and cinematographic brilliance, but fell quite flat on having a compelling story or funny enough buddy banter that these two characters together are destined to bring. It felt rushed in places. Character arcs to make the buddy banter work didn't feel genuine because of being rushed. Marvel Jesus can't save mcu. Hopefully doesn't suffer himself.
I just wish it was more funny! Just the dry Deadpool 1 kinda funny. FRANCIS funny.
Still won't take away a lot of Ws from the movie. Definitely worth a watch. Plenty of fun. Just leaves you wanting so much more.
Just too much exposition and random inventing of terms to fit the story at this point. Or a lack thereof.
Collection of high dopamine hits, cameos and cool visual imagery strung together with whatever minimum effort possible. MCU has devolved into tiktok. Please don't take Deadpool with.
I miss maximum effort.
