Way too rushed at the end. No real chemistry between actors and no romantic buildup. O’Conner is not a huge part of the story and will leave viewers confused when he and Bibb share a romantic kiss at the end. Wish backstory of O’Conner would have been fleshed out a bit more and Bibb character relationship with her mom. Maybe some flashbacks of her childhood with her mom and her aunt for better understanding of how each memory affected her. Also the character of the granddaughter of Aunt Jeans bf was a bit jarring and did not fit. Why would a 40 something year old widow with children follow a 20 something washed up singer into an abandoned home to conduct a random seance to her dead husband that was never spoken of again? Weird. The only bright side was the marketplace scene and the performance of the children, they were very cute.
