I come from a KJV only background, a very VERY strong one. After indulging in my own studies, I found out that the KJV only perspective is more of a hyper-traditionalist standpoint than a good conviction. I ended up settling on using the CSV as my main Bible after doing much research about different Bibles. I like this one because it is a mainly literal translation, but goes into a dynamic style when a literal translation would not accurately convey the idea through the language barrier. So far, I have hardly been disappointed in the translation work, and I am saying that after going into detailed study comparing this translation to the meaning (in the Hebrew and Greek) behind the words in the King James. I would highly recommend it! And that says a lot coming from someone with a traditionalist background like I was raised with.
