The idea of this story attracted me. However the plot and the characters spoilt a good story idea. The plot was slow and there was no excitement in the story line until the climax of the novel. The characters lacked dimension. They were flat and unmemorable. Freddie was always responding with a nod. It got irritating. I managed to finish this novel but it was a struggle.
